Welcome to the web site of the North Carolinians Against Gun Violence Education Fund. Our Mission is to make North Carolina safe from gun violence through the education of the public about preventing gun violence, the enforcement of current gun laws, and the enactment of needed new laws.
This site is a resource for individuals and organizations concerned about the problem of gun violence in North Carolina and the United States.
Gun violence is a deadly issue that continues to affect our children, families and communities. We hope that this site provides helpful information and links to resources for those interested in gun violence prevention.

As part of our Youth And Gang Violence Prevention Programming NCGV and members are working with at-risk youth to establish a library "satelite" branch at Lyon Park Community Center. For about a month now NCGV has received books donations from across the Triangle and thanks to these donations we will be ready to soon open up the lending room. The project came out of our Teens on Target program, a program designed by teens to teach teens about the dangers of gang violence, relationship violence, and gun safety.

The movement begun by Republican Senator Mike Crapo from Idaho is pressuring the Department of the Interior to remove the federal ban on guns in our currently gun free national parks. According to reports by extreme North Carolina gun rights organizations Senator Dole has written a letter to the department asking them to lift the ban—in effect opening the door to all park visitors to carry concealed weapons provided they have a permit.
